Monday 11/13:
The last 10 sticky notes were due in class today. If yours were not finished, or not with you in class, make sure to bring them tomorrow!
DUE FRIDAY-- HOLOCAUST BOOK PROJECTS
DUE DATES:
11/17: Holocaust Book Projects DUE
10/26: Visualization-- highlighted packet with 8 drawings showing comprehension
10/25: students who turned in posts received grades w/feedback. :-)
10/18: 1st blog posts were due.
Wednesday 10/18:
Today we accomplished two things--
1. All students selected and checked out a Holocaust related book book our novel study. Reading for this should be done during silent reading time in class, AND out of class.
2. We peer scored blog posts and then each student could use this feedback to make changes/improve their post before self-scoring and turn in.
Friday, Oct 13:
This week we started our first blog/vlog post. Students worked to draft/plan their response to the prompt. See the assignment on my blog at this link: World According to Tisinger
Blog/vlog posts are DUE next WEDNESDAY, OCT 18 to be scored in class with this rubric.
Monday, Sept. 25- Friday Sept. 29:
HW: Due Wednesday at the start of class-- "The Story We Cannot Forget" article and questions.
Monday, Sept. 18- Friday Sept. 22:
This week, we started introductory work about the Holocaust and WWII to gather background information for reading the novel, The Boy In Striped Pajamas later next week.
We also spent time analyzing what makes a good blog post, and most students designed their blog. You can double check that your blog is correctly linked by checking the links from my blog at https://worldaccordingtospence.wordpress.com/
If you didn't finish by the end of class on Friday, you should finish over the weekend as homework.
Monday,Sept 11- Friday Sept 15:
Monday we worked on revising/editing/drafting Me Maps. A few students even began their final drafts. We'll continue working on Me Maps until the end of class on Wednesday. Students should be ready to present on Thursday.
